‘Reflections’ solo show at The Paddocks Gallery in Volos, Greece
Cyrus’s first solo show in Greece is taking place at The Paddocks Gallery in Volos from 14 March to 25 April 2026. The exhibition features a group of Greek landscape works made while artist-in-residence with the gallery the previous autumn, during which he developed a routine of taking daily walks in the foothills of Mount Pelion. These works are presented alongside a selection of images made in the artist’s regular environment in the UK. From the exhibition text by curator Lida Koutromanou:
“Landscapes from Greece and the United Kingdom appear in continuity, forming compositions in which various places merge into a shared visual language… In contrast to the accelerated circulation of images today, Mahboubian’s practice unfolds through a slower process of walking, observing, and assembling, where separate moments and locations converge and landscape becomes both subject and method for reflection.“
