Workshop at Haslemere Educational Museum (2 February 2013)

At the invitation of Haslemere Educational Museum in Surrey, Cyrus ran a one-day workshop for the museum’s young visitors, using Polaroid cameras and instant film to teach the principles of analogue photography. Each participant was given a pack of film to shoot, but with only eight exposures in a pack, the challenge was to discard the impulsive photographing style of today and approach each picture thoughtfully, taking time to properly consider things like lighting and composition before clicking the shutter.
